Despite the fact that we do not have a shelter to operate out of,
we continue to work with our local dog pounds to help place the animals they have.
Municipal pounds are overrun with homeless cats and dogs.
Many of these animals will make great pets and deserve a second chance.
Please visit our list of Connecticut shelters and rescues to find the one nearest you.

When Blue and Mona checked in to Camelot Kennels for boarding on September 15th, 2009, we had no idea the owner did not plan to come back for them.  Blue and Mona were abandoned.  As with all of the animals that board with us at Camelot, we become very attached…especially to long term "boarders" like these.  We come in every day to see their precious faces and provide loving care for them-breaking our own hearts, knowing they do not have a check out date.  When these unfortunate circumstances arise, we exhaust all of our options to try and find a forever home for these pets.  The epidemic of overcrowded rescue organizations put a black cloud over our plight to save these two animals.  In the meantime, sweet Blue and playful Mona are still housed with us at Camelot.  We will be continually hopeful that someone will open their arms and their home to adopt these pets. They would truly be a great addition to your life.

Mona is a 2 year old, spayed female, Pit Bull Terrier.
She is a very sweet and active young lady…she can jump like a spring!
She certainly has a lot of energy ready to spend.
Mona enjoys running outside, playing with toys and she will be your best friend
if you give her a rawhide bone!
We recommend Mona go to a mature, adult family with no other pets or children.
